Watercolour painting by Cathal Mac Dubhghaill

Part of a collection of sketches and watercolours made by Cathal Mac Dubhghaill while he was interned in Frongoch Internment Camp. Mac Dubhghaill, from Carlow, was active in Republican circles before 1916. He was involved in the Rising and afterwards was interned at Frongoch, where he illustrated a number of sketchbooks. He died in Nice in 1926.
